Welcome to Betula Chalet- Please read the following points for your information and safety during your stay.

• All guests must take care of the Chalet and leave it clean and tidy at the end of their stay. Please clean all dishes, pans and appliances and dispose of oil/grease and coffee ground in the bin to avoid pouring it down the sink. Please strip beds and place all bedding and towels on a pile.

• Waste Management/Recycling – please try to manage your waste using the blue recycling bin located at the gate which takes paper, cardboard, certain plastic and tins. Glass can be put in the blue box at the back of the chalet or taken to a recycling point. General waste goes into the green bin at the gate.

• Only toilet paper should be flushed down the toilet as we have a septic tank system and nobody wants any blockages! A bin is provided in the bathroom.

• Please respect wildlife and nature surrounding the chalet.

• Be aware of ticks in grass and woodland. Keep children and pets away from the pond on the property.

• Electrical items must be switched off when not needed or when the chalet is unoccupied. Excessive use of heating may lead to additional charges. Heating should only be used as necessary and should not be left on overnight or when the chalet is unoccupied.

• Occupancy of the chalet is limited to the maximum sleeping capacity of 4 to comply with fire safety regulations.

• Dogs must only be present on site with prior arrangement and must never be left unattended in the property at any time. Dogs should not be allowed on the furniture or on beds. Owners must pick up after their dog. Please contact us if you would like to bring more than 3 dogs. According to Scottish Law from 23 February 2024, any guest who owns and brings an XL bully type dog in Scotland must ensure they are muzzled and on a lead at all times when in public, including in a car and on the private land surrounding the chalet. The exemption certificate must be presented during the booking process.

• It is not allowed to charge electric cars at the chalet, please refer to public charging points or contact us first. The nearest charging point is in Nairn at the main public car park.

• Betula Chalet has a No Smoking policy. If you smoke outside please use an ashtray and clean up before departure, do not litter cigarettes.

• Candles are NOT allowed to comply with insurance. In case of a power outage there is emergency lighting and a torch available.

• If you are staying over a weeks time fresh change of bedlinen and towels will be provided.   

• Cancellation Policy: 

1. Cancellation made 60 days or more in advance of arrival date = 100% refund

2. Cancellation made 30 days or more in advance of arrival date = 50% refund   

3. Cancellation made 29 days or less of arrival date = No refund

• Emergency – in case of an emergency please dial 999 or telephone us on 07471438006. In case of a fire evacuate the chalet immediately and collect at a safe distance.

• We have the right to terminate occupancy when conditions are not being met or noise, nuisance or annoyance is being caused to others.

• We the owners are not liable for any injury or death, loss of property, damage suffered by guests or members of your party and belongings. Cars parked are at your own risk during your stay.

• For direct bookings via this website: Latest 3 days before arrival we require a security deposit of ₤100, only after we have received the amount we will send you the check in details. We reimburse the deposit within 48h after departure pending damage check.
